Paul Hansen, Alaska Rainbow Adventures

“It performs a necessary function for those of us with underutilized septic systems … aka keeps us from freezing!  As best as I can determine from having a septic that was frozen and then thawed by professional steamer co and not having it re-occur while using the septic heater, it saved me money and time by not having to deal with frozen septic again, as it was easily cold enough for the system to re-freeze.”

This Septic Heater is installed above the septic tank located about 20 feet from the house. There is only one person living in the house, so there is very limited water use. (Minimal use adds to the freezing problem.) The pipe froze between the house and the septic tank in late February, 2004. The line has not frozen again since he installed the Septic Heater in early March.

Jack Frost, Joe’s Lodge

Lake Andrusia, MN

"The Septic Heater worked great and we did not have to worry about a freeze-up."

We put this heater over one of the lodge’s septic tanks that serves a cabin that has freezing problems in the past. Having this tank functioning properly is critical to generating winter revenue for the owner. The cabin is usually only used on the weekends. (Infrequent use adds to the freezing problem.) The Septic Heater has kept the system from freezing and they have not had to close down the cabin this winter.

Richard Stegemen

Referred by Anderson Septic.

"[The Septic Heater] allows us to leave during the winter for a week or more at a time without being concerned about freeze up.  The heater appears to thaw the ground around the tank and pipes.  I would recommend the Septic Heater to others."

We installed this Septic Heater above the septic tank, about 80 feet from the house. The pipe between the house and the tank had frozen twice this year, although it had not frozen at all over the past 20 years. Freezing can be very unpredictable. Richard’s system has not frozen up again since the Septic Heater was installed.

Jessica Mistic

"I like the peace of mind it gives; I don't have to worry about freeze-ups.  I didn't have to miss work, pay someone to thaw lines, or have the inconvenience of not having a working septic system.  The Septic Heater saved me time, effort, money, and worry."

The pipe from the house to the septic tank was freezing on a weekly basis this year. It is over 100 feet from the house to the tank and there is a driveway going right over the line. (Driving makes the frost penetrate deeper into the ground, adding to the freezing problem.) The Septic Heater successfully prevented Jessica’s pipes from freezing again.

Chuck Koenig, American Truck Accessories

Referred by Justin Honers, Honer Septic Pumping Co.

“Our septic system froze 4 times last year. After a programming change was made to the proto-type it prevented any more freeze-ups.  I would recommend this to others.”

This Septic Heater was installed above the septic tank. The tank is located about 100 feet from the building. The pipe between the building and the septic tank had been freezing every week and a half, very predictably. This was our first test on a septic tank (rather than in the drainfield). The system froze up shortly after we installed the Septic Heater. We made an adjustment to the programming of the heater to better accommodate tanks. After this adjustment, the system did not freeze up again.

Pastor Loren Bjornsen, Nazarene Church

"It's simple and automatic."

We put this heater on the 1st drop box of the drainfield. It is located about 70 feet from the building. This is where they have had problems in the past. There was a slight ice buildup in the drop box when the heater was installed. The Septic Heater successfully prevented the system from freezing until we removed it on March 17, 2004. We removed the unit because a part malfunctioned. This issue has been resolved.

Dan Yrjo, Dan's All Season Service

"Quite easy to install.  It saved considerable time and money.  I really appreciated the chance to test the Septic Heater.  Definitely made my cold weather months go smoother!"

We put the Septic Heater above the septic tank. The line from the building to the septic tank (about 65 feet), had been freezing about once a week. When we arrived to install the heater, the pipes were already frozen. After Dan thawed the pipes, we installed the Septic Heater. Dan’s septic system has not frozen up again.

Gary & Linda Knox

Battle Point Lodge

"Easy installation and at a glance you can see if it's working...  We did not need to pump or steam tanks."

Gary has a very large septic system that serves several homes and rental cabins. The homes and cabins are used sporadically over the winter months. (Sporadic use adds to the freezing problem.) We installed a Septic Heater above the lowest (deepest) of 3 septic tanks since heat rises and could make its way up through the entire system. This septic system had freezing problems in the past. This winter, with the Septic Heater installed, the septic system has not frozen.

Mark David

Referred by Cannon Valley Septic Services.

"The Septic Heater is working great.  It is doing its job and I haven't had to think about it.  You can tell it's working from the house window.  I would recommend the Septic Heater to others and I have."

Mark's septic system had frozen up several times before we installed the Septic Heater on his system. The Septic Heater is placed above the first drop box. It's approximately 125 feet from the tank to the first drop box in the drainfield. Since we installed the Septic Heater, his system has been functioning properly with no freeze-ups.

Norm Wolf, Norm's Auto Body

"The Septic Heater saved me money and aggravation.  Excellent product.   Excellent service."

This septic tank had to be pumped several times prior to installing the S.H. After determining that the pipe was not completely blocked, we installed the Septic Heater in the drainfield. There was some ice present when we installed the heater, but we had positive airflow so we proceeded with the installation. They have not had to pump his tank since we installed the Septic Heater.

Roger Mackenroth

City, State

"[The Septic Heater] is neat, compact, and inconspicuous.   Seems to be reliable and efficient.  Yes, I would recommend the Septic Heater to others, and I have two people in mind."

We installed this Septic Heater in the drainfield, about 70 feet from the cabin. This heater was placed at Roger’s “weekend” cabin where he had freezing problems for the two prior winters. This winter, with the Septic Heater installed, the septic system has not frozen.

Eileen Wolf, Wolf's Inn

"No complaints!"

The heater was installed above a septic tank, prior to a lift station. The distance from the house to the tank is over 150 feet. Several small cabins are also connected to this line. The tank had a layer of ice in it when we installed the Septic Heater. We had positive airflow, so we knew that it was ok to install the Septic Heater on this system even though ice existed. This system had freezing problems last winter. This winter, with the Septic Heater installed, the septic system has not frozen.
